Children’s Books

5 Apr

I think that listening to and reading children’s books are a great way to practice listening and reading.  As you know, reading involves not only comprehension but also decoding and fluency.  Reading children’s books is also a great way to acquire new vocabulary.  If you want a real challenge, try reading a book to children because they will be honest and tell you when you mispronounce anything.

Here is a great website to a very popular Canadian children’s author, Robert Munsch.  On the website, you can listen to many of his books.  You can also download the audio file.
